  1. Hi DavidofT
I'm In South Wales, so a bit of a trek, but there is an eBay listing that finishes tomorrow for some westy kit in whinchester.
The sink / wardrobe unit would be fab for making a toilet box, loads of large panels and the trim you were asking about plus other handy westy trim pieces..... If i was closer I would be bidding on it as it handy stuff to have for repairs.

  2. I'll check the porta-potti model on weekend

  3. Hi Fancy bug,
I know what you mean, it's only used in emergencies..... But with two youngsters it's a must have .... And a good source of laughter when somebody needs to use, we all look away but you can't hide the sounds....... Just think of the Austin Powers scene with the pee that goes on for ages....you can guarantee my boy to do it every trip.... Lol
Yes it would make a fab storage box and it's a real comfy stool or leg rest too.
    Love your pics, cool.

shhhhh, im already bidding on it for spares, it about an hour from me, the kitchen unit is not much use to me but a few of the other bits are, i have 2 cabinets worth broken up in my shed like those as nobody wanted them, i do have 4 door off the cabinets which should be perfect for a square toilet box :)

the toilet box is also mostly for my little ones, 3 and 5, im sure the aroma is worse than the noise

  5. Hi Jinkjude,
How's you. All cool I hope.
Yep, we've sorted the UK HOOK up too!
I'll get you some pics on the weekend.
Also are you still looking for a L shape water tank ? Got a brand new waterpump that screws into the bottom of the water tank too !
Bought it before I did the interior and didn't realise mine was a slightly different water set up , I'll get some pics of them if your interested before I stick it on eBay.

  6. D,
The black edging that is on the wardrobe door opening is perfect for the trim on the toilet box but will need a router or could do it with a skil/ circular saw . ...... Best of luck on the bidding

  7. As promised, here is a link.

  8. Hi all
Jinkjude asked, and I suppose it is interior related, so heres just a few pics of our electric hook up set up.

We had a CAMPING/tent RCD unit that we never used so decided with the advice of an electrician friend to adapt it for our needs.
I wanted something that was out of sight but easy enough to get at, i didnt want to cut the interior about to much ... So it was a bit of a fiddle - but this is what we
are left with. ...... and yes , it is earthed to original point on the body that the westy transformer was.
    Hook up exterior box,

  10. dean_butler we were completely taken with the sjh joinery interior we saw at volksworld - he's on here too. We are getting some darker wood samples sent to us in the post to complete the retro look. Food for thought if you guys are still investigating

  11. I would really like to know how to make the buddy boxes too, have looked into our van ( it was a 1972 mircobus then converted to a devon....I think) and it has the orginal microbus bench seat in the back so would be a shame to rip it out to put in a rock n roll bed........... so thinking two buddy boxes and some fold away invention to bridge the gap . We are not fitting a kitchen as we have all that for camping in the tent and want to buy a Eriba in the future . If you could give me some advice pretty please :)
