    Front discs are a bit warped (might be okay), rear discs are scored owing to a sticky calliper that developed when I drove down to Cornwall for the sliding window a couple of weekends ago, rear brake backing plates will fall apart if you touch them, two tyres needed for the rear. A bit rusty underneath which I should probably just wire brush and cover with black stuff.
    Nothing too drastic, and mostly ‘consumables’ but it’s done 195000 miles and is starting to get rusty bits on the outer wheel arches and bottom of the C pillar. I should learn to do the brakes myself really, I’ve got a Haynes manual!

    Commutator on a Hitachi starter motor on a Yanmar marine diesel .. had got covered in a mixture of grease and fan belt dust so didn't make good contact, arced and pitted as a result. Cleaned and sanded now..
