I got 15 more out of my Miele after replacing the pump, still going strong when I got divorced and gave it away.

That's what I thought but the pump only lasted 5 years if that. This one is a horrible indesit washer drier, the condensing drier is unusable unless you want to cook your clothes for hours. They should be banned! I gave away a fantastic little Philips tumble drier too, second hand, still going after 25 years. I wish I'd kept it.

 

You pays your money. Bosch (and presumably the others) have deffo gone downhill since their older stuff. Our old cam-timer-driven Bosch washer was built like a bloody tank.

Was quite chuffed to get ours going again for the price of a new sump, brushes and belt. Most probs were caused by 15 years of compacted washing powder slime

 

Too right, I remember my parents chucking their hotpoint fridge that was a wedding present 40 years later, it was still fine they just wanted something more modern looking.

Got to love the internet for common faults in appliances and how to fix them... hopefully.

No, but when I arrived on the site, the guy I followed was already with a tow cable in hand, asking if I wanted him to call the skidder...
I was light enough to lift the third axle, and it goes like a tank this way.

Our tomatoes have somehow managed to sprout from the greenhouse floor and in the raised beds outside all on their own!

 

What if they learn how to use guns ?
