Still banging out the beans Mark. Proposed to be a nuke station. We'll see. I'm not sure anyone actually knows what's going on!

A nuke  didn't know that!

Indeed, we will see! Be interesting to see what pans out with her in the coming years.

    Finally getting "closure".
Old square-fronted window profile overlapped with the new gable jobbie, so "Today I have mostly been channeling Fred Dibnah MBE!"

George was doing quality management on the latest digitally controlled additive manufacturing processes at Doc John's Speed Shop. Strip out the ***** and he was watching me weld up holes in the Woodie door.

Sorted out the guttering on the FIL's lodge in the Lakes - a bit of a working holiday. It was leaking in several places, despite the mastic splattered all around one of the joints. Luckily managed to find a place in Kendal that had the correct type, so bought a length of guttering, a couple of new joints and a few extra brackets

    20210929_171106.jpg

I think it really needed more support brackets near the joints. The original fitters seemed to have been a bit stingy with them

We'll see how it holds up tomorrow as rain is forecast :)

Is that the one that you can see from Mercia Marina? I drove past there yesterday on my way back from Installers show in Coventry. I thought that they were working cooling towers but it looks derelict. I only passed by as the M1 was closed 25-26 and 1 hr delay 24-25. Unfortunately my other route home was the A38 and that was closed at Findern so I spent 90 mins moving 5 miles.

I just wanted to see the ‘spring effect’ on how it fails in the ‘safe’ position. The whole thing is the spring.
I just read that there was one inside.
Obviously, that was wrong. Probably why I ask apparently ‘silly’ questions…
