Can't beat a good fire

 

Love mine. We have a steady supply of old jetty for kindling, really good stuff, seasoned for a decade so lights easily. Me and the crew spent a whole day splitting and sawing a big pile ready for t' winter. It offends me to pay for kindling.

Yeah, good point, but it wasn't up for that at 8pm last night. Today, however, is shaping up to be a lovely day and I may just get my big chopper out and my log grenade and do just as you suggest

 

I met him at Longleat when he was filming a tv game show...he was touring the house with Lord Bath's lady.
He was very friendly, polite and could take a joke..... but then, he is a Yorkshireman.
