Well it would be rude not to Chip's fridge (the beer fridge) had ice on the condenser bar today so the wine was perfectly chilled

Back in the 80s a friend had a Volvo P180, dark red, I was very jealous. Unfortunately, it leaked so badly that he had to permanently drive around with the heating on full and the windows open in an attempt to dry the seats and carpet out. Your clothes felt slightly damp after you'd sat in it for any time. Always smelt of old hymn books, if you know what I mean.

I bet that back around 1990 you could lap the M25 in an Xr3i in less time than that makes four cups of hot coffee...(or drive Redhill to Cambridge at midnight in a Ford Granada 2.8i) ... about an hour..
