I've just seen Poptops brilliant swamperjam thread and I agree with it but i've still gotta post this  I had a great time with old friends and new but to be honest it should've been cancelled, The journey there was'nt only wet but in some places it was dangerous, people had to drive through flash floods and motorway spray like I've never seen, we had many breakdowns on route and thats not good in normal weather but friday was a joke, we arrived to a totally swamped weston park and its was just a matter of time untill it became a mudbath, some traders had just turned round and gone home, some did'nt even turn up, all the fun daytime events were called off and even the main night time artists did'nt come, as said in other threads, we did make the most of it but Camperjam is the big one, The main event that most wanna go to and this year it was'nt the show we all know and love, some newbies to it wont go back as this will be there memories and thats not good is it, when we were leaving I looked back at the beautiful weston park and it was ruined its gonna take ages and cost a lot off money to sort it out and I just hope the owners dont have a strop and kick Camperjam off for good, They knew on the thursday that it was gonna be a monsoon on the friday, we all knew, they should've cancelled it so we and others could've made other arrangements

Yes it should have been, i made the most of it though but i was annoyed i couldn't see The Beat and also buy stuff, in effect i paid £70 for 2 nights camping with crappy bogs no shower and no hook up..... and that is MARMITE that is.

Yes I think should of been cancelled but even so really glad I went, had a great time thanks to my mates from Tlb. Will be back next year as looked like it would have been fantastic with better weather

  4. well yes but no coz we might not have met all you tlb's we loved it its not the weather that makes a good time its the people you with

I thought the bogs were good tbh

  6. We had paid up tickets and didn't bother in the end. Made that mistake at Big Bang at Santapod and that was just a complete waste of time.

Ok, if there is just one or two of you in your bus, but if you have kids and a tent, it is not worth the hassle.

I therefore think, as it was meant to be a family show, it should have been cancelled.

  7. We would have gone camping somewhere else with better toilets and where we didn't worry about getting stuck.

i think they should have cancelled it tbh , not because we never had a good time but because we paid a lot of money for what amounted to a party in our vans with friends , we could have done that cheaper in a pub field ?.

  10. We had a great time, made the most of a dodgy situaton. Yes it should have been cancelled. :)

  11. I loved it regardless ,cheers everyone

  14. 0I dont think they should of allowed it to go a head.
    the ground was redicolously wet....
the markings were crap. and the marshalls had not got a clue....
and as for the Beat not turning up brcause of extreame weather your having a laugh...jessie j made it to shrewsbury.
(oh that was Sat night )
it amazes me that they seemd to be less toilets than last yr and there was showers... plenty of em....
But on the whole i had a great time with old friends and new....
Glad i left sue at home as she would of gone home thats for sure....

And if thay had cancelled zed would not of cut his finger lol

  15. im glad we couldnt go it looked like the rain spoiled it , this might be the norm now for all festivals , if you dont go camping prepared for the worst then trouble is you never get out waiting for bloody weather to pick up . karma to all who went you is all brave :)

I think it should have been cancelled but would we have all and I mean all of us headed off together to the same location? All of us in our own little area made the weekend for us, we had such a laugh and met plenty of old friends and new!

  17. Roll on autumn camp. Camping and a pub and plenty of tlbers :) and it won't cost a fortune

  20. I agree should have been postponed purely based on predicted weather reports / amber alert that left people both driving and camping in dangerous conditions. I may have missed out by not camping but glad I didn't. just sorry I missed the TLB fun.

All that said, it bugs the hell out of me that our safety is not a priority to the organisers as well as the value for money aspect of it all. they will lose out in the long run.

V fest is gonna be muddy unless we have a major dry spell
