Seats - will T25 seats fit a Bay?

  1. just wondered? anyone know? On the lookout for some standard seats that are low enough for a cab hammock to go over. Besides standard VW ones any other seats suitable? I want something that sits nice and low too as I am very tall - 6'3"

  2. in short, T25 seats will fit, but not your van...

it's the old things that changed in 76 scenario... and one of the things that changed was the seat runners!!

  3. so if get t25 seats with runners then i could fit them?

  4. yeah, you can... if you're handy with a welder :)

  5. Me!!! Weld!!!! No way. But I know a man who can. Maybe I'll just wait patiently for actual Bay seats. Whatever I buy will need re-upholstering anyway.

  6. I saw a guy in our club with a cab bunk and Saab seats
He mounted the brackets as normal, but had an extra bar made up and the hammock narrowed
Then he used the extra bar on the bunk and strapped it to the original bar sandwiching the seat in the middle
    Hope it makes sense

  7. Here's another possible solution?

I have T25 seats in one of my vans...stock in the other. The one with T25 seats is because I have swivel bases fitted. I bought some runners and welded them on. If you can find runners from an LT they are mounted on a bracket to raise them up and are a bit easier to remove. The T25 ones are spot welded in and if the person is careful how they drill them out they are pretty easy to plug weld back in.
