  1. Here's Rusty as named by my 2 children, the bay is a 1973 which I traded for a few cabinets. now comes the fun part.

Once we got the bus back I stripped it and managed to borrow some rollers of a friend.

I've cut the the belle pans of and under them isn't bad, also removed the rear hub ready to re-build and started cleaning back to see what's left.

blimey dude your brave! good luck n keep those piccies coming. Are you doing the resto yourself (just curious)

  6. yes and no.
I'll be cleaning all of it up ect got a friend who's welding it and painting it for me although I'm hoping to do most of the prep work for the paint too, and maybe primer. see how it goes.
I'm looking at re-building the running gear myself and re-building the engine well at least top half.
    Scott.

do you need a front bumper, Ive got a reasonably good one at work...

  8. No i'm good for them thanks.
Most of the parts are there. Its just panels i'm after, and a pair of standard seats, but i think it'll be awhile before I really need those.

Plenty to get stuck into there, doing it with the bus on its side is cheating though! I dont expect we'll hear of any regular restoration injuries/ burns etc ;D

  16. this will be a good one to watch! good luck

  17.
  18. Ah thats why I can't find how to do it!
    Thanks ;)

  19. good luck Scott with the resto. What conversion is it then? That poptop roof looks unusual

  20. I haven't a clue, the hinges are mounted on the outside of the roof, which makes them prone to rotting, which they are doing! I'm half tempted to change it, but one thing I do want to do is keep it as original as I can. except for lowering and alternator. ;D
