this is quite nice... Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Minute Repeater Tourbillon - YWH (yourwatchhub.com)
Our window fitter takes out a bank loan every three years and buys a new Rolex, for investment purposes. He has 3 now, and says the first one he bout is worth almost a third as much again, so I sort of see his point, for that reason. But I think he only wears his Sea Dweller for work.
Surly all men like to see a good watch , just like walking round a tool shop. Iam currently in Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife, looking at about 20 watches , all great design but even a 50 % discount would make them ten times what i would pay for them but they are nice to look at , i know they sell other jewellery but i have no interest in even looking at it
My £3 from a car boot watch. Annoyingly the battery changer man cracked the glass and I didn’t notice until later it’s hand to take on and off if needs be at work
I wear a tag heuer s/el I bought back in ‘93 second hand. It’s the same model Senna wore, just mine is plain stainless not blingy. It’s pretty much indestructible, has loads of marks and scratches, it’s on like it’s fiftieth strap by now.. Think I paid about 500 quid. It’s probably worth about the same today.
I paid a jeweller to change the glass on a watch. They sent it off somewhere which always annoys me - I could do that, but worse, it came back with bits of the previous broken glass still in there and now trapped between the face and the new glass. What a joke.
Can’t even see the fingers , blocked out by the unnecessaries. Be fine if it was always 10 to one……. But I’ve already got one that does that
