You dont have to worry as yours has been earlied. Originally the 1200a had europa bumpers with everything else you'd expect of the slightly earlier 1200 Spar Kafer with blade bumpers.
Yes the Beetle equivalent of the late bay bumper. I thought you meant something different to that. soz Do people still use the term 'sparkafer'?
No need to apologise My beetle education was when everyone was gemming up on them so I used to know a bunch of useless info and names that have no real worth now!! like most here I guess we're more focused on deluxe clocks and suspect fuel senders!
Rhubarb is coming up for her third Mot since the resto and I am pretty happy as to how things have stood the test of time- brakes etc. But the the panels I bought from vwheritage are not fairing so well. they are showing signs of surface rust and if I don't get on to the job and sand them back, paint them etc then they will soon be rusting through. Left as they are I wouldn't give her another 3 years before she is almost back to the sorry state I bought her in. At this moment in time I need to get the hazards flashing ( relay clean) The horn working ( again) And tighten up the rear brakes. In the future I will have to get to grips with the less well done welds and strip back the sills etc and paint properly. guess what I will spend the winter doing?
LOL -- Me and my van in Southern Italy with the boat we towed there 1984! Just a 1600 and we towed that boat through the Alps too!
