  1. Hi, my first restoration post, so apologies if it doesnt all work or font boring etc.,

Alice - an ebay purchase in May 2009, 5 months in body, respray and mot restoration, having been off the road for 6 years, followed by 2 months interior fit at McKinnon Campers.

I will post some before photos soon but list of panels changed are :-

Both front wheel arches, driver floor, all four jackpoints and outriggers, repair to front axle, chassis repair, inner front panel, deformation panel, both inner and outer rear wheel arches, sliding door repair, passenger door bottom repair, b post passenger side. new seals throughout, various window edges replaced, new tailgate.

New master cylinder, rear brake cylinders, front disks both sides, electric 12v washer bottle, Klaxon horn, 3 bow roof rack, rear end oil seal, new clutch, push rod tubes, new exhaust, four new tyres, retro bumpers, side steps both sides, Paris sunroof, new SSI wheels.

Interior - front seats restored, recovered in new vinyl, retro radio, cabinetry throughout, pop up TV in cabinet, leisure battery fitted, new lining througout, fitting of sunroof, rock n roll bed, lighting throughout, curtain rails and curtains, new sunvisors, rear view mirror, wing mirrors, wiper blades, lights.

Cost a little more than planned and took a few months longer too but next year should be a great Spring/Summer.

Winter project - new 1776cc engine, gearbox, suspension, new steering wheel, 240v electric point under seat, plug in 240v socket in side of van, purchase generator for Wild Camping.

Actuals.......new 1641 cc engine with twin webbers after engine bay restoration, electrics added. Steering wheel from mcj due may 2012. Eberspacher heater fixed twice.

2012 mot passed may. Advisories on brakes and wheel bearings, booked in to have advisories sorted.

    Interested in your feedback.

    Cheers

    Mark and Alison

  15. I totally agree with you mine is just like that I had to finally draw a line under just how much more to change but when she is on the road every winter it will get changes and improvements that's the fun of this hobby.
You van is a stunning example and will turn heads wherever it goes from a campsite to Tesco

Third winter project - about to drop engine out, then back to bodywork guy for restoration of engine bay and battery tray.
