  1. I bought a set of genuine rear mud flaps of fleabay for a steal from a 71 bus knowing they may or may not fit my 72/73 late bay .....they don`t ....does any one have pics or measurements or want to swop brackets ????

  2. How do they not fit?

The first lot have the correct brackets for a bus, lucky fellow :)

  3. not sure on where the end bits go ? i have offered them up and they don`t fit

  4. I think you need to drill a hole in the chassis rail for the end bit!!

  5. The right angle bits bolt on to the chassis rail - have a look on Ratwell. He's got a section on mudflaps.

  6. Here you go... Perfect!

You'll find there's a threaded hole in the hanger ready to go.

I was about to suggest that, and yes the hole in the mount looks too big, maybe someone drilled it out?

  14. the other hole you can see in the first pic showes a tapped hole at the back of the engine hanger , the larger hole is clearance for m6 , so unless its been off and put back on ass about face . never to my knowledge has it been drilled out ... i`ll have a look at modding or remake the bracket. or trim off the extra bit of the panel

  15. think i`ll trim the panel .....acording to the ratwell site the hole is correct at m6 clearance and you use a nut/bolt ..........seems they were a bit of a find as Ratwells sugests there are quite hard to find :)

  16. They are a real find. You're a lucky fellow!

    They're easy enough to make...
