From the pics, I would agree with £15k, as zedders says the poptop looks strange and draws the eye to it away from what is a very nice van. If it was mine I would just sort the poptop canvas and leave the bodywork as it is, just allow a bit off for that. The point about location for the advert pics is a good one. I like the ones showing a van out in the countryside or near a beach, it sells the dream, especially if you have an awning or outside table and chairs to add to the appeal. Those pics on ebay of vans parked in some grubby street make me suspicious about the ownership.
I have popped out the bubbled section on the rear seam to find too much filler that has come away from the body. So with this in mind I am going to get it repaired properly. Looks like it has had a dent there in the past. This way I can be confident if the bus being sound. I wouldn't want to find it bodged up if I bought it. the pop top came with the bus. It seems it is from a company that existed in the 70's. It has new springs now so works much better. but it does need tidying up. Basically it needs re riveting and neatening up so that the sides lift smooth. not a big job I am going to get that done before it goes.
Sounds good. if you look on ebay you will get what I said about location, most of the vans on there look depressing and not attractive. Choose bright sunny day for the pics and somewhere nice. You should sell it easily for £15k.
We did the same thing when you were selling your awning a few years ago. Set it up with table and chairs, opened wine bottle and crystal wine glasses with red wine in. It's all about selling dreams and aspirations.
Reet posh, are they? No but I hope I'll have that pleasure one day. Will bring a corkscrew if they're not the twisty top types.
