FOR SALE RAT Camper Special Parts NEW

  1. Hi Silver,

The only issue is that Type IV engine is a taboo in Thailand. Not alot of folks/mechanics know them well. Most of them have the impression that Type IV parts are expensive and difficult to procure and hard to mantain/fix. If my parts are for Type 1 engine, I wouldn't have any problem selling it.
Hence, I am looking for overseas sale... Khris..

  3. Yes, and its not about the cost of the car - it's about the cost of the government licence you have to obtain in order to be allowed to own a car! In comparison UK road tax is peanuts.......

Brad is a top guy, a mate of mine was working for him as a motor trimmer but has now gone out on his own.
Next time we're coming through Thailand I'll let you know.

    Silver Needs points/will pay!

All sounds very reasonable, so why don't you put a price on these parts. This is not an auction site.

  9. Yes, it is called COE (Certificate of Entitlement) and it allows the vehicle to be driven for 10 years only. Lastest price for that document only is ~37000pounds!!

  10. Yes, I was over there on business and the colleague I went to visit explained that it more than doubled the price of his Honda Civic Hybrid.

I was there for a week and I saw only 2 classic cars - one was a BMW 2002 and the other was a VW 1302.

  11. Yes, it is absolutely crazy.. and while the price of COE that high, we still continue to see new cars on the road which leads one to wonder what have I been missing!!!
You must be lucky to see classic cars.. although there are some clubs in Singapore, it is a pretty rare sight.
One place I know of that has a collection of VWs is Volkswedding...they rent out VWs for weddings...owner is very nice person..
