Make it heavier still having the hub on but I can't remember a reason you can't do it with the hub still on.. Or even undo the spring from the hub and leave it all there.. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Ok, walk me through this please, this is very new spannering. So, Shock off to allow it to drop, jack under the hub, let it down slowly undoing the bolts on the cap until the arm passes over the stop and hangs down. Then pull the arm off the spring (having marked it) turn it 1,2,3,4, etc splines and put the cap half on to stop it all coming undone and jack the drum, arm, and gubbins back up until the shock will bolt up. Do you have to undo the handbrake? sorry, trying to get this done as we have put the stuff in and its on the bump stops.
Not quite that simple. You must detach the hub from the springplate, wangle it down out of the way to pull the springplate off the torsion spring. You may or may not have to detach the handbrake cable for this.
Undo the hub from the end there .. spring plate will stay stuck where it is untill you jack it up and pry it off the tang holding it up then lower it down. Don't forget to mark it all up and note the angle when its unloaded for when the spring bar gets suck in the plate and comes out with it. That rod has a different number if spines on the other end so you can find tune the lift by moving onner and outer spines in different directions. I'd have a good read up first .. bound to be something on here or 'tinterweb Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
If you are a lazy person and leave the handbrake cable disconnected and its a bit rusty, all the flexing to get ot out of the way at times may destroy it. But then again, its a good time to change the handbrake cable. I did a 25mm lift on mine to match the front going up on coilovers and the handbrake cable was properly in the way. The worst bit of the whole thing is the 4 big bolts on the hub carrier- on mine it needed a rattle gun to shift them.
