Its been pouring down and blowing a gale all day here so ive not managed to get any welding done I decided to have a read round of a few other dub forums for a change and to cheer me up Big Big mistake Ive ended up spending hours looking at pics of beetles and ended up browsing the for sale sections Ive come across a beetle project for sale under an hour away from me and £600 Now how do i put this silly idea to the back of my head as im sure i dont really need a beetle Im starting to see how addictive dubs are

Don't get the bug!! .....instead, how about my old Land Rover 110 Station Wagen, now that's a project, comes with real anglo saxon rust..3 bulkheads (take your pick) 2 pairs of wings a bonnet and numerous bits and bobs. All you need is the patience of a saint a feckin big hammer and some no nails!!

your coming to the end of your bus project, knowing you, your getting jittery about finishing it, so your delaying finishing those last few bits, a bit like trying to read a good book as fast as you can to get to the cliffhanger finish then slowing down so you can eek out those last few pages (add your own analogy here ) don't get the bug, it's your defence mechanism against finishing your van
Dont worry girls i aint buying it No more projects untill the bus is done(theres still lots to do after mot) and the landy has gone Ive never given the beetles much thought or looked at them much I just seem to have found an affection for them today so one may well be on the cards in the future
And there's me looking at the land-rover forums think how much i want one shame they are so expensive and that i have no money. Lucky i hate Beatles after a bad trip many years ago 3am sat in the back with a bunch of smelly fishing gear and leaking heat exchangers for a hour only to spend 5 hours and not catch a thing.
Lol matty Yeah landy defenders seem to be going up in price recently especially the 200tdi engined ones I should really put mine on ebay and just swallow the loss on it If i hold off though i can get it repaired and put back together then i should make money on it
Take the loss, get shot of it and do your camper? I know how you feel, but probably a lot of hours work just to save making a loss is how it always works out for me. I find I'd rather loose money and keep my head clear nowadays. Just seeing "unfinished work" out of the corner of my eye bring me down (man).
Its not just a normal loss though zed I bought the landy with money left to me by my gran when she passed away So i feel i have to do right by her and recoup as much of it as i can She wasent a wastefull lady
