A long time ago I tapped into a Sharp 1970's car stereo cassette/radio on my boat, put a 2 pole 2 way switch on the connections to the "top" of the volume control, the switch went to a panel beside the radio, and then I had a stereo 3.5mm jack connected to it. So I could plug my Nokia N95 into it to play music.

These days I would use a Bluetooth receiver module fitted inside the radio, and work out a way of switching over internally.

The thing about the 50 watt BT amps is you dont need to have any visible radio on the dash or anywhere. Just the amp sitting connected to power and the speakers.

I agree but if you like the idea of it fitted inside a dummy retro looking radio ( like mine ) these units are for you, also they fill a hole in the dash

  4. Nice way to use an old radio that bazza:thumbsup:
Will we be seeing you and your bus at techenders this year mate?

  5. Ah, ok Bazza, no need to follow up, he literally buys up old units and offers them for sale. Assume he has photos of them and you just pick which one you like/suits your vehicle and he then converts it?

    Tidy
