R.I.P Mr Pigeon, you died for a good cause.........

I had a squirrel run in front of me once it stopped directly in front of my little nova, he would have been fine except he stood up on his back legs and my button valance took his head clean off! I stopped on the way back home to look...

A mate came into work one morning and said come look at this stupid bird I hit on the way in, it had flown straight into his car breaking his plastic front grille and had managed to wedge itself head first in the radiator with wings and body sticking out like some kind of sick bonnet ornament...

 

I had a pigeon smash through the front grille of an Octavia once. Its beak just missed the radiator Wasn't a fun job clearing that up........and the pigeon was too shredded to use in a pie

 

The car in front of me hit a swan full in the windscreen a couple of years ago.

 

My best mate hit a deer once - the head came right thru the wind screen and it's antlers we're trapping him in.

So he had to call the police to get him out whilst the deer lay there in pain dying in front of his eyes.

I think it shook him up for life ....

 

I really feel I've revealed my soft and sensitive side by starting a thread that's degraded and become purely about the pain and suffering of defenceless animals.

Well done me, I think I deserve a pat on the back

 

I'm a train driver so get a few pigeon on windscreen strikes,however the dumbest bird has got to be a pheasant! I'm sure they stand there and think "oh look at that 2000 ton freight train coming toward me at 75mph.....I think I'll take a closer look" bang!!

I did hit a heron once just north of Stafford, which I was a bit upset about.I blew my horn to scare it away but he was oblivious to it,probably thinking about his fish supper!
