  3. Please remember which ever way you route wiring please ensure you have adequate protection against chaffing
The less bus fires the better all round

  4. Its a lot less fire prone now Ive fixed numerous scotch block connections and twisted and insulation taped wires. :) All now properly soldered, within heat shrunk connectors and taped up. Nothing will chafe except me as ive got so many nicks to fingers etc from reaching into tight spots. (ooer missus). few burnt fingers too as i always burn myself with the soldering iron. Damn things. :)

Those scotch block things are hateful little buggers. I hate em.

  5. Always very satisfying to remove all those under-dash "improvements" made over the years by Mr Bodger :)

  6. Well if you see Mr Bodger, kick him up the arse from me. The whole loom where it connects to the fuse box was bodged up. I only noticed when I took glove box out to trace stereo wiring.

  7. scotchloks are the work of the devil i hate them

  8. I know. Theyre more hassle than theyre worth. Easier just to splice and solder and heat shrink. Plus its neater, less likely to 'fail'.

  10. Who's stupid idea was it to run underneath? 30 mins? My arse. What a freaking pain. I'm filthy, wet and sore lol. Done now. Followed loom thru channels etc. All for a poxy stereo and lighter socket. done now. Just need to connect up both ends and tidy up.
