I have these too! Unfortunately brother borrowed frying pan when it was new and lost it! *mutter, mutter, grumble*
So that's why I always burn stuff! I thought it was due to wandering away from the cooker in a familiar hungover state. Phew.
We use Kampa/Gelert pans, and have done for years. Locking handles not those poxy bits of bent wire.... TBH they're typical Chinese quality but we figure they're cheap enough that if one does get burnt it's no biggie to replace at about £7 each. Surprisingly durable in use, super-light, quick to boil & cook, easy to wash & compact as they nest. What more could you want
