Again, thanks Andrew! I'll look into one of those :hattip:

  2. That Heart 200 looks doable might give it a go this Summer  Not as bad for midges either supposedly. Need to check out campsites and of course fuel stations

Looks very scenic. We were meant to spend 10-14 days touring at Easter this year. Never got further north than Glasgow, due to a poorly engine back in 2005.

I think I would do mix of both the 500 and 200 and add Skye in too.

  5. Anyone who does do this^ route, drop me a message and, if you want, I'll come say hello, or you can stop by for a cuppa?

Before the mass protests erupted once more.
Not been back to my hometown since.
These days i’d likely be arrested if I return.

I was looking at the NC500, it looks lovely..... factoring in the 600 miles each way to the start in Inverness.... and then I made the mistake of looking at a fuel calculator.....
I might still do it though!

It was (and still is) on the list of places to stopover, and definitely go on the boat lift.

A couple more since I'm stuck at home for one more day.

Both from Ireland in 2014: Howth Harbour, a fabulous spot for overnighting. Mount Errigal, Donegal, a proppa climb and amazing views. Great to have the camper at the bottom for a cuppa and a decent dinner.

  18. Look at the journey up and back as part of the holiday, stop off somewhere nice on the way, then the fuel bill doesn't seem so bad
