  1. What is the fabric called that they make the pop tops out of , I may need a new one as was looking at the ones on proud to pop and as nice as they are there pricey , so was looking at what fabric it is so I can ask a couple of my friends with industrial sowing machines :)
Only a thought at the moment

Used this for devon poptop as well! If it for a straight sided poptop it will be easy to make! If it a side elevating its a bit trickier!

  14. [IMG]..priced a few places.. but ended up at Chesterfield Canvas Services. they make allsorts, boats, trucks, flags, they couldnt have been ore helpfull, they measured it up, made it within 2 weeks, we fitted ourselves, £80 + vat. plus rivits and screw and batton. its the same material they use for tent/mazda bongo roofs. very pleased.:D

  15. I replaced the fabric for my poptop myself - a company called Jeckells can supply marine fabric and can make it up to your measurements - they supplied mine sewn into a square for about £130 - top job, mm perfect. I choe blue/white wide stripes but you could choose what pattern you want.

Took two of us a full day to fit as there was no fabric fitted at when when I got my bus - not bad as i was quoted £1000 to supply & fit.

Mine was a Canterbury Pitt full pop-up top and the only rigidity is supplied by the fabric, so a bit worrying when you take the roof cap off andf it is pi$$ing about in the wind until you get the fabric taught.

I do not know how to get photos up on here but I can e-mail them to you or to anyone who could get them on here if that's any help.

it's nice for a bit of fresh air and not something you could have bought off the shelf
