    There is more to this story than we are hearing, lots of soldiers smuggle weapons back for lots of reasons and don't get caught, I do feel for him and the sentence was wrong but they try lots of ways to do it and this way nearly worked, it might stop others trying it the same way, no one's above the law however skilled in weaponry they are, I really hope it was a mistake but you just never know
     
  2. Thing I'm curious about is how the gun was apparently packed with his personal kit, shipped to the UK and given to him. No security checks on the way or is it routine for small arms to be shipped home by serving soldiers? IF stuff gets "nodded" through then that is one hell of a security breach...
