If only it was as simple as that , Para obviously doesn`t want to stir the hornets nest and yes , things are different when one person owns the village - they can do what they like and once the die is cast they WILL find a way to evict . Only option i can see is finding a sympathetic farmer with barn space or .......
I struggled to find a unit years ago. Ended up just going down a list of Dorset farmers from yell.com until one said yes! Got lucky with my unit.
Any chance of reaching agreement with the new owner of the small holding? They might not mind you being there, might even appreciate having a familiar face around and an extra pair of eyes and ears to keep the place secure?
Gutted for you mate. All that work - all that time Hope that you find a way to hang on to it and your situation improves. Stirlingmoz
Are you sure she has got the right's to stop you ?....Was it offending neighbours , and did they complain before ? I would of thought if you were not wacking and hacking and making to much noise you should be OK and pick your times when you work on it
there’s plenty of space to park in Horsham opposite the duck pond .........this is what happened when the local duck society complained about my golf being parked up for a week during COVID lockdown seriously tho I Hope u sort something out and I know what a nightmare renting is we’ve got 2 vans a Breadvan A Tiguan and just sold my golf. House has one space on drive and a very narrow road impassable by 2cars and artic lorries use it due to a corner shop next to us! Suffice to say the Cootes Duck society can go @&£”& themselves!
Hope you get it sorted Para... it would be a real shame if the end of this story is logistics when you’ve had to be quite resourceful to get this far
Sorry disagree, you have chosen to rent someone’s house that is not suitable for your requirements and then say its everyone else’s problem.
What one car in the road when There’s no parking restrictions and there all taxed n mot,d both vans off road in garage/drive not my problem everyone else parks there free to catch the train to London! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Para, have you spoken to Adrian Holmes at Thirsk? Possibly a bit further away than you want but he might have space in his yard.
I’m talking with a guy in Darlington Who may have yard space for it with a view of moving it into a workshop a few months later. It’s not as close as I would like but it would save me from having to sell it.
If that doesn't pan out i know a few horsey people over your way that might have some space available.
It’s looking like I’ve sorted somewhere indoors to store the van at least I’m just waiting on a date to move it. Also made some progress on the drivers door The rear is all prepped and primed I’ve welded up the holes from the side reflectors and I’ve started filling and blocking back on the outside. It may have been rot free but there’s a lot of small dents and ripples to take care of. My mum passed away last week so I’m not really in the right frame of mind so after the vans been moved and I’ve painted this door I’m going to walk away from it for a while.
