  1. I was in a young persons shoe shop today being baffled by the colours of the sports footwear, one of the sales assistants ( although it is very hard to tell as they dont wear a uniform) asked if he could help me. How dare he I thought, I have never worn a pair of trainers in my life and nor do I intend to start now. Cheeky blighter. To cap it all there were no stout shoes available.
    Anybody else never worn trainers?

  2. Lol! I'm a "young person" and even I admit, the colours of trainers are rediculous.
Modern trainers look like the ones I had when I was 7. Really childish looking things. I just stick to dirty leather boots.

  11. Anyone noticed that Converses are exactly the same as Woolworths pumps from years ago? Except they're ten times the price.

I prefer DC's or Converse leather rather than the canvas, but a nice pair of brogues are things of beauty.
Normally it'll be Blundstone boots or R.M.Williams riding boots

We once went to a house party, the lady of the house was surprised to find that we both had size 9 feet, she reeled out a set of thigh length boots and every one thought it was funny when she told me to try them on, the boot was on the other foot so to speak when prior to putting them on I pointed out that while the price sticker on the sole was in perfect nick the same couldn't be said for the knee area!!!
