Hmm, no pics to add. Not much progress really, but I have fittd some speakers and a sub with amp. I've hidden front tweeters in the dash vents, rear mids in the rear freash air vents and the sub in the walkthrough space under the seat. I got an "all in one" sub, chopped it up to make a box for it's power amp, made a pre-amp box from some top-hat section and a whole new box for the speaker so it would be the correct volume box for the speaker and fit under the seat. So I pretty much managed to hide the lot and it sounds pretty good considering.

Also got some pukka Westy RR bed hinges From Davidoft on here.
I couldn't just use them as they are, Oh no! I chopped up the other RR bed I had in the van and welded the board supporting frames to the Westy hinges, then welded a dog-leg in to clear an inner arch. With the metal supporting framework, I don't need to go shopping for thicker wood and can use what I already have. Works a treat but still got to make the prop bits and see if I can improve on the westy ones which end up squashing stuff under the bed - you'll know what I mean if you have a Westy.

Here's the Westy/Devon/Zedbed.


With the Devon board support frame welded on, and some stands for bed position. The stands tuck in right at the edbe of the under-bed box so hopefully won't mash things.


Bed mode - the stands sit on purpose made thingy's.


Now here's the thing. Westy's have 6" thick foam! That will look too chunky I think, but any less and there'll be a gap between the base and the back when in seat-mode. Here's a pic with 4" foam.


Would a gap be bad? The back sticks up further as well which I'm not pleased about, but the reason for all this is so I can use the bed without further neck buggeration. The Westy hinges are the dogs. I can go from bed to seat with one hand, standing outside. Cool as 8).

 

Then I thought I should progress the kitchen bit.
So I made to spreader plates with nuts welded to then for the hinges to screw to. These will be enclosed in the seat covering.


Then drilled the stainless worktop for the hinges. I've been putting this off! Here we are though - another step closer...

I'm in search of a groovier cooker/grill to replacve my recycled hotch-potch if anyone's any ideas? A tent stly fold-up one would be ideal, but I can only find cheapo flimsy ones...
