Oil leak at front of van? Help please

This just made me proper laugh!

 

Oh, ha ha!

Ps I've over stepped my womanly capabilities and sheared the head of the screw whilst attempting to fix my oil leak, is there a helpful man about please?

 

I am woman, I persevere

However, does the cap thing at the bottom of the steering column just pull up the column once the screws are out, or does it have to be "unscrewed". I base this on the fact it has two play sides leading me to think it may be a threaded thing rather than just a slip on cover.

Based on any helpful info I will try and prise it off or go looking for my stilsons.

 

I've just laid under the van for 3rd night in a row and have decided it's prise off.

@mgbman the problem is we have 6 vehicles between us but only room for 3 at home so camper is relegated to the farm where it can be in a garage/shed

 

@snotty I can't actually get to it above yet. Having a beer, listening to Levi roots and staring at steering column column.

Think it may be time for tea until tomorrow nights episode.
