Wondered if they were going to put her up on the Navy trot buoys out of the way, unless of course theyre already occupied by disposal stuff.

 

Wouldn't have thought the Queens Harbour Master would want that thing going through the harbour entrance, just in case something happened ... the local paper says it is now anchored off Lee On Solent.

 

Her long suffering generators have just failed, according to the vessel tracker website I monitor.

Yes its bugging me a bit! I started looking but the only stuff I've come up with is for SOLAS which gives a running time of no less than 18hrs, list inclination up to 22.5 degrees or 10 degrees fore or aft. Thereafter one presumes some battery maintained lighting. Somewhere buried in a pdf somewhere must be her original Classification Society Rules as built. Need an expert to hand!

 

I don't know much about the Royal Yacht but in the Royal Navy (and seeing the HMY was RN crewed) we had Pussers not Pursers

15 degree or so list it is said. Whatever it is they have done well.

 

The MCA report seemed to imply propulsion could be available as it refers to tugs assisting in her move rather than being towed which would be the case if she was dead ship. However that could just be semantics.
