You don't think 'macca' is a tedious old fart who's !@*#ing away his legacy by continually trying to be 'down with the kids' doing things like this?

i dont hink he does it to be down with the kids - i think (and this is just my thoughts) that he does it because he loves music.

kurt cobain LOVED the beatles - he sited them as one of his fav bands and i imagine he would think this is pretty cool.

mc cartney is in his 70s and still rocks out with the best of them.

i see him very differently to people like elton john who really do 'try' and be down with the kids - but fail ....

just my views ....

I guess it's all down to opinions again, personally i started to dislike mcartney when he had the priority for the beatles songs changed to 'mcartney/lennon'. I've no particular gripe with old rockers even though there's few people who do anything original after their 50's, i'd love to see pink floyd now or genesis, i just think macca does too many collaborations with cool young things and dyes his hair so obviously it's looks like he's trying so hard. Give it up and grow old gracefully.
Incidently, while i'm on a rant, his jazz album he released recently was dire, if my grandad rocked up at the bbc with that album, he'd get told to get lost and stick to playing cruise ships, because it was an ex-beatle it gets airtime.

Grohl lost his way a few years ago.......I'm suprised he didnt get Liam Gallagher to step in, a lot of the Foos 'new' fans would have appreciated that >
