Commodores - Three Times A Lady [Live] not one of my favourites but it was number one when Ella rolled of the line in August 1978
Cliff Richard and the shadows. The Young ones. Jan 1962. I would post a link but there's 2 reasons why I can't 1. I'm not going to waste any more of my life looking for a cliff Richard song. > 2. it's beyond me how to.
just had a quick look and found out its her birthday tomorrow haha <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/G8bm6XlxuCY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
When mine rolled off the line, it was Long Haired Lover from Liverpool by Jimmy Osmond. Yuck. Why couldn't the Germans have gone on strike for a few days? The next two number ones were Blockbuster by Sweet, and Cum on Feel the Noize by Slade. Much better.
Stevie Wonder "You are the sunshine of my life" very fitting for my jaffa bus, cant get you tube up fraid O0
Nice thread Mine rolled out 5th September 1972 and was sandwiched between Rod Stewart. You wear it well/Mama ma we're all crazy now. Slade. All very apt.
Not sure about the Number One at the time but I have downloaded and put onto disc the Top One Hundred songs from the same year my bus was made. I do play it regularly (in the bus of course) as well - how sad is that!!
Oh yes! Rod Stewart, Do Ya Think I'm Sexy! Number one 28th November 1978 and my bus born 29th November 1978. I remember this from my childhood. I would have been 10 when this got to number one. I'm well chuffed!
