*****TITLE CHANGED FOLLOWING HE CHRISTENING OF NORA LAST NIGH ********The deal was struck this morning and I'm now the very proud owner of a '76 twin sliding tintop converted panel van. By no means perfect but a very solid base for us to build on. All welding and re spray carried out 2 years ago along with a new 1600 engine and it's not been anywhere since. The main job is seat belts in the rear which will need to be ( at least one of them) three point which will be interesting as its a panel van. Also as its got a bench seat it needs a third belt which could be a lap belt. I'm also looking for a reasonable priced awning with separate sleeping area if anyone's got a recommendations? I've got to arrange for it to be collected as its 20 miles away from me then mot'd ... Then we're off somewhere....
I am a fan of Khyam quick erect awnings. Well made, easy to put up and you can get separate bedrooms, carpet etc. for them. Various sizes so worth having a google
Outwell country road has an inner bedroom as an accessory I got one when I bought mine. Van looks good, any more pics?
Well done , may i say you do look a tad young to own and be driving a bus thou. Awnings need to be looked at , their are so many and once you buy one you will see a better one , take your time n have a look at some in the flesh and on the awning threads on here .Have fun
I did take a few more crap photos mainly of the front I'll get them posted up later The kyham range of awnings love look good at a decent price as well. I've got so much that I need to do... The main one is trying to dissuade my missus from flowery curtains ffs!
I did and he's a very very nice chap too, turned up for a charity event , totally unlike the 'TV Mike brewer'
