Just had a bit of news that I’ll be going to a funeral on that very Friday. Unfortunately the funeral will be at two o’clock. So I’ll go to the funeral in my van and leave straight after without going to the wake. So might not make it until much later and may miss out on the pub stroll. Spose I could drive to the pub for some grub? And meet up there.

Its my fave way up there too. Sometimes when I feel like it I head north west from Southampton and join the Fosse Way at Cirencester, other times just as it crosses the M40..
Its one of the things I used to do coming home from work .. to get home in the bus without using a map or satnav and the other rule was you could only cross dual carriageways not drive along them... I made a miserable 40 mile journey on the A3 and the M27 instead take over 120 miles once and ended up in a different county.. pick place names I thought I knew and drive towards them and note where the sun was...at least I avoided the traffic queues that mean the last 3 miles home can take 40 mins.

She is walking wounded, had a full knee replacement ten weeks ago but still not good , hopefully by techenders she will be much better

 

She doesn’t need to walk… as long as her arms work glass to mouth
