IMO early t25 seats are the best option if you can find some for reasonable money..the ones with the armrests are very comfy and match the look of late bays but really hard to find for not silly money.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Toucheeeee! ...just remember my Dad getting shot of it as quick as you like because of the box .... Reverse rarely an option!
I think that expectations were much lower back then. My parents had a succession of fwd Austin Morris/BL cars which I learnt to drive on, 'borrowed', and later owned as hand-me-downs and they were OK if you kept the oil fresh. The gear levers were a bit long which didn't help but they were miles ahead of the column change Bedford CA icecream van I drove one summer! They weren't in the Ford league that's true, but I think that history has been a bit unkind to that era of BMC/BL.
He was comparing it to the magnificent Renault 16 ... of which he had two before, and one after ... which got us to Bulgaria and back
I reeeeeelly wanted him to get a DS ..... but then again I reeeeeelly wanted our neighbours for the first 20 years of my life to sell me their 1200 Beetle that they had from new, for all of that time, but that never happened either I wonder why I got into VWs
I learned in a mini and my first legit car was my dads 1800 I used it for months before I got my 1100 on the road, the 1100 was cool a cross between a mini and an 1800!
