  6. About two years ago some woman drove i to my side in Waitrose (it wasn't Kate) .... Dented my rustfree door and wheel arch (crossover one). Got the prices from JK online to be useful to the resto place (insurance approved place) and they worked out total.. I then agreed to price and JK doubled price overnight.... So that messed up my insurance claim and I nevr got the work done.. Got cash instead when resto place said they didnt want to do it anymore!! Well peeved off with JK and them at the time must say.

  9. If you check the profts of the companies making hte price inccreases they are also reporting records there too. Its sheer greed and the government thinks it great 'cos they've got shares in these ^$^&(*()s. I was going to mention electricity but I don't want to set Rick off again! Oops!

  10. Tis not my imagination then. Im into a new round of resto on my bus and stuff is 2,3 or 4 times the price. Its frightening really. There is lots of cheap stuffa bout that is probably also well overpriced. Saw wheel arches at Vanfest that were frankly laughable and i dont know how the suppliers can put them out there they dont seem bothered about their reputations it seems but I suppose they can say that thats the cheap option or you can have the genuine item for twice the price.

Wheres the next low waged economy to start producing parts. Hope they actually have the skills. And if Brazil is the new tiger economy then gawd help us.

  11. I can see panel prices going up almost daily. I see a few factors, one being the weak £. I also think with bays being worth more the parts prices go up accordingly and vice versa.
I need to spend £2K+ on panels alone but hopefully my bus will be worth something when done. If i was able to by the same panels for £400 like i could 10 years ago then everyone would be doing it and our vans would be worth less.
Who heard of a £10k to £15k bay 10 years ago??
