New distributor

    BTW , that coil appears on an Australian website for a Holden Commodore. And the trigger unit is something that goes with it in that car. If you had changed the distributor for a basic cheap SVDA, and kept the rest of the setup, that was probably superior to any electronic unit with the points replacement hidden in the distributor.
     
  3. Ah well, hindsight. I guess it would have to have been a distributor without the 3 ohm resistance requirement from the coil though.

    No, the electronic unit would act as an amplifier for the points. So the coil requirement was met by the Bosch black box electronic unit .
