Thats how mine is fitted ..the correct way like yours , it's link assembly that's all worn . I see you have a replacement bar ...was it tough steel , the one i got was softish metal was not impressed . I put a thin flat washer at the backplate side seems to have solved it ...might do the same on the other side before i go down to Keith's field . I had to round file one of the holes on the shoe to get one of the pins in ....and the horse shoe clips look so naff ..i am amazed the don't come adrift ...but hay none ever have .
Say no more ....and the pins are tight to fit on some ...round file was needed on one . iam sure there is less meat on the new shoes .Bit like when they make packets of sweets smaller rather than upping the price .
I have the right shoes Steve ..it's all just getting rickerty ....i am on a early 73 right on the change ...have you ever up graded from 72 73 .....up to 79 look a far better lay out .
It was the one on there left in citric acid for a few hours cleaned up a treat! I had to help the holes take the pins too.. just ran a drill through ..really though it might have been that pin location if it hit the hub though.... Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
