  6. It is but never seen weather as bad as this before... Poor Charlie can't walk anywhere... He just disappears...

  9. They were saying on the radio that some places have reported 14ft high snow drifts :eek:
     
  10. i`d be calling a board meeting.............got the south downs on my doorstep but rarely get enough snow:(
     
  11. My in-laws are in N Ireland - howling winds, 4ft snow drifts and no electricity for over 24 hours. Oh, and they're lambing sheep too :confused:

    my mom told stories of my grandad digging a tunnel from the back door to the coal shed - poetic licence i always thought, but then again i reckon it could be true i belive it was bad in 64?
     
  16. 64 could of been i remmeber older kids built a igloo on the common...

    well the sun will be shinning wednesday and then we will have flooding like you have never seen.

    I remember going sledging with my dad on a sledge he knocked up in the garage. There was a lot of snow, but I was only little. :)

    in january 1982 i was stuck on the Droitwich to Kidderminster road and there were 27 ft high drifts against the hedgerows , it all fell in 6 hours , that night it was minus 26 locally to me - fact

  20. Most snow I remember was in 85... we had 12ft of snow in the drive, a 4ft wall of snow that was curved like a wave in-front of the front door, and school was shut for a week!!
