  1. What deal does Canada have exactly, why can't we have the same?

I have to admit I have no idea, but you would have thought that these sort of things should have been sorted and explained a lot clearer/better before the vote.

  6. He did precisely nothing, and Corbyn's lot actively obstructed Labour folk who were supporting the pro-Remain campaign.

Still, the chant of "Wheeeeeeere's Jeremy Corbyn?" at the pro-Remain rally a few months ago was quite amusing .

  7. Yet ...

What gets my goat is the fact the knobs in each party are too busy creating sound-bites and smiling sickly on morning tv instead of doing what`s best for the country . Nine weeks to go and we`re still no further forwards with our moronic parliamentarians still fighting amongst themselves .

The referendum said leave , which is what should happen .
It might not be to everyones taste but that`s what referendums are for ...

    Innitt ??

I guess so. I just can’t see how this gets resolved. If the leavers/remainers were split across party lines maybe, but they’re not. I don’t see it getting any better with a new government.

I have to disagree. The idea was meant to have a set of ideal proposals, deals and agreements in order - we have a complete FU so no one really wins if we just leave with nothing secured.

Imagine if you put a deposit down on a new car and it would have a certain mpg, spec and performance but when it the car was built or released for actual sale and it was nothing like what you expected/were told it would be. Would you want your deposit back and withdraw from the sale?

    Well...........................

I have been disillusioned with the ideology of the EU for many years, the bureaucracy can be eye watering, and voted to leave. This was based on fact and data, not emotion.( I am educated to masters degree level before you ask and not a racist thug)

We have made a mess of the negotiations! The whole thing this side of the channel has been played out in the media leaving us with nowhere to go as the "other side" knows our every move and ho we will react and behave. The EU's position has been kept fairly quiet and measured. Parliament and the media has told them that we won't leave with a deal, so they're just waiting for us to cave in.

The BBC has been appalling. Every day we get an anti Brexit story complete with a "have your say". We won't be able to drive over there, we won't be able to sell anything over there, we won't be able to fly over there, there'll be queues at the ports, we'll run out of food, we'll run out of medicines, etc, etc. Even my ardent remainer friends are a bit embarrassed bu it.

The deal will almost certainly not get through nor will any deal the government puts to parliament. Labour have an agenda to force an election, The SNP have an Independence aganda and the DUP - they're the DUP!

A second referendum looks likely but is pretty anti democratic and just says to the electorate "thanks for voting, but we don't trust you so have another go". What happens if the result is still leave? Do we start the whole sorry process again? What happens if it's remain? Best of three?

If you think about it. The next step is it has to go through parliament. They have to pass the leave process as legal and fair all round, and this is the issue now. It’s okay saying the vote was leave let’s just leave, but it can’t happen like that without creating major problems. So now we’re back in the hands of the toadies whether we like it or not, and believe me they are going to milk it. Devil us, it’s all about them at the mo.

The truth is, it’s no good expecting them to be honest and do the right thing they won’t. The best we can hope for is they do right in the end for the country that pays their wages!
