Never seen one but it looks like a Bertone design based on a Lamborghini.

    Was the roll cage essential?

That, I think, is the SEAT version of the FIAT 1800/2100/2300. Shares some styling cues with the BMC A60 and the Peugeot 404 as they all came from the Farina studios at the end of the 1950s. The SEAT came, I think, with a 1500cc 4 cylinder engine rather than the 6 cylinder ones in the Italian cars.

The old man used to own one of these in Nigeria.
Had all mod cons. Indicators a flasher and dipper for the headlights.

Edit. From memory I think that he rolled it on the way home from Kano Airport probably late fifties...

Fiat Millecento, my pal races one of these. I think that's the engine he made some conrods from scratch, cutting up some En24 plate with a hacksaw so he didn't have to mill too much away....

  12. Given a Marina’s dodgy suspension, probably yes.

Shares a name with a utilitarian vehicle that has appeared on these pages but is unrelated and made in a different country. What is it?

The front is looking a bit Siata?

I hadn't realised that someone had done a modern retake on the Ferrari 340 Mexico Berlinetta. I think I prefer the original. Yes, the grill is very similar to the Siata. The contemporary Maseratis often had a similar, if slightly more rounded, grill.
