With the arch now welded in, the cab floor & inner tub was next. I fitted a new outer chassis rail:

    Strengthener welded on:

Inner tub & floor repair offered up:

The new cab floor didn't come with fittings for the throttle linkage rod, so I had to re-use the old one:

    All fitted & welded:

  2. Nice work. Really need to give my camper a tickle with the welder as the cab floor looks like a volcano is erupting in the middle of it. Assuming its the strengthener on the chassis rail rotting away. :(

  3. Are the new side panel bottoms just tacked at the but joint and then filled or did you seam weld it?

I only ask to see how you prevented distortion.

  4. Top welding and fabricating going on. :)

It's only tacked at the moment-haven't decided how I'm going to weld it yet:thinking:

With most of the front end welding done, it was time to move the bus forward so I could get started on the back.

That's pretty bad, you might find the rust tracks along as far as the rear axle. Good luck with it.
