Keep tin top or cut for sunroof

We had a tin top, fitted a paris sunroof to it, all worked, no leaks etc., and enjoyed using it.

However, 12 months on we have seen the value in having a pop top, for camping practicalities, so in Feb a Dormobile roof will replace the sunroof.

I would not have the heart to cut my roof

 

i have grafted one on and converted an early westy to a full sunroof, it was tricky but not impossible, i think there's a thread on anothe vw site that shows how much work is involved, paris beetle ones are poop, i have fitted a couple on request but wouldnt recommend them.
