Has anyone fitted one of these are they any good or poorly made and are they resistant to the ethenol added to modern petrol? £23 seems a bit steep for what it is http://www.justkampers.com/shop/211201119-a-petrol-tank-filler-neck-rubber-for-t2-1973-1979-j11588.html
Injection moulding isn't cheap dude... http://www.typ-17.de/product_info.php/info/p3317_Filler-Neck-08-73-07-79.html A little cheaper... not sure what the shipping cost would be like for it tho...
A JK filler neck was put on my bus, not by me, a local guy did it for me so I have not held an original in my hands for comparison. Seemed OK though, not much help I know, but the guy who fitted it does restos and didn't make any comments about it.
i 'think' someone (birdy?) had a picture to compare them to a standard one and they were a tad short.... i may be confused though so please don't take this as gospel.
I got mine from "Megabug" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Type-2-1974-1979-rubber-fuel-filler-neck-seal-/221126219870?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item337c26585e give them a ring cracking lads 8)
