If they do all go to another channel, the BBC will be left with the programme itself. Top Gear as a concept is owned by BBC Enterprises. This means they will keep The Stig, and the general show format. If they try just carrying on as normal with 3 new presenters, then they could end up with the whole thing falling flat. If they use the opportunity to refresh the format (and there have been loads of comments I've seen online over the past couple of years over how tired Top Gear is as a format) then they might retrieve something of value from all this. Meanwhile Jezza and Co would most likely set up a new show (probably on Sky because they're the ones with all the money) and call it something different and carry on as normal.

That's a lot of 'if's.

 

I'd imagine ITV would kill for a show like Top Gear...and God knows going from BBC hugeness to ITV went well for Des Lynham, Adrian Child's and Irish bint etc..,

 

That's why I think they'd end up at Sky.

Hmmmm! Just a suggestion but couldn't you do the washing up in that hour instead? Or maybe the ironing or a bike ride or a trip to the pub, possibly a game of cards with your children or significant other.
I'd be happy to help you but rest assured there are more choices for that hour on a Sunday evening, it's not just Top Gear or faeces.
