Its persistently raining here

Was rattling my fat balls like a pair of clackers in the back garden last night as well.

 

That’s truly awful Rich. I dare say Boris will be down at some point today with various camera crews to commiserate and promise your community whatever help it needs

 

Doesn't it do owt else but ? Drains are blocked with all the leaves.

 

It was Liz Truss that kicked it over. I saw her out the bedroom window.

 

Time to resurect this old nugget.
Just about had enough of this dampness. Was looking at some standing wheat that was black. No grain development, so looking like price of bread will be going up and Vlad's busy bombing grain silos in Ukraine.

 

Strange morning, set off to a boot sale in bright sunshine, got there in a monsoon - it was cancelled - drove back through the floods and rain to sunshine back home. It's only 4 miles away. Sun still shining and no sign of rain here yet.

 

The weather here has gone a bit British over the last couple of days but we still have drought restrictions, no car washing and watering of the garden is only permitted at night (but I can still top up the pool ). Combines have been working into the night, the wheat is in and the straw bailed. Temp just now is only 16C, it was more than 30C a few days ago, but normal service is expected later this week.
