Got me new relay today.
Indicators still don’t work!
Been cleaning connections, bulbs and fittings.
Still nothing! What am I missing out?
No click noises and hazards don’t work.

 

Have you checked the earth for the relay?

 

No. I will resume on it all, on Wednesday.

 

I need a colour wire chart. Only have a black and white in the Haynes.

Don't know if this will help, its a list of what wires go into the relay on mine and roughly where they head to /come from:

Black relay J2 Turn signal - emergency light relay

Brown 31? Towards Dash main wire bundle
Blue 49A? Towards Dash main wire bundle
Blue & Red Dot 49A? Towards Dash main wire bundle
White or Grey (Can't tell) Towards Dash main wire bundle

Got it! All working now.
Found a wire snapped off on the back of an indicator. Although, I am surprised that the other 3 didn’t work, but flash faster...

 

Which wire was it? Earth?

 

A yellowybrown one, from the indicator housing. It had a spade connector on it. Unconnected. Yes, Earth. I think. Still surprised that the others never flashed, but faster, though. That’s what normally happen, isn’t it? It may have come disconnected when I took the front panels out.

 

Also, my wires, or some of them, seem to be a different colours to some on the above chart.

 

That's because it is a Yank diagram. Differences between European models with the indicators and sidelights.
