On my van don’t work. Cleaned all the connections. Relay dosnt click. Could it be the relay? It’s been sat a while...

  2. Could be. Do the hazard warning lights work?

    Its possible.

Does it work if you pull the hazard switch ?.. that bypasses an ignition switched fused supply coming in via the hazard switch to the indicator circuit.

You might have popped an aftermarket electronic controlled relay with currents flowing while welding.

Or if you unclip the cover from the relay you might find a high water mark or a puddle..

  4. Windscreen area rotten = Relay full af water .
The old metal style can be opened up and dried out but the new plastic ones are sealed ..

299172ED-28B9-48E4-ADB0-EB5BDEA47B91.jpeg On the plus side, I managed to get hold of another front, for the repair, courtesy of a chap on here! 9D27A737-7D31-49B1-84E9-3FF3728EAB59.jpeg I’ve, Erm, fixed the leaky area(s) under the windscreen. That could have (probably) caused it.

Just wondering... does any generic flasher unit fit? Can I just take the old one into a car place, and they can match it up?

  12. I did same for same reason then the complete front. Good luck with that. Make sure time and time again that the panel is correct to the dash mounts and side pillars before welding otherwise you end up with windscreen adhesive filling the corners....... don't ask me how I know:oops:

You think this is the wrong panel then?

I think he meant more that it gets welded in the right place.

  15. Be careful with that, looks like he's sold you a Cyberman.

  17. The fella who welded my front on (plus all the inner panels and deformation panel) had overworked the corners at the bottom of the windscreen. It's also not quite against where the dash is connected. So a bit bigger gap for glass and a gaping space in lower corners.
