(do we get our own website or just the pleasure of a foot in both camps )

It's a bit like living in The Midlands. The Northerners and Southerners can slug it out in their petty tit-for-tat North-South divide, and we sit in the middle, rising above it.

Similarly, own a '73 model year bus, and know that you can rise above the squabbles.

i'll always be a northerner though. this midland thing was never permanent (she says, 13 years later!)

That'll probably be OK, but it helps if you have a beard to go with the pipe, slippers and tweed.

The joys of a '73. Locks in slider handles, petrol flaps, early tanks and senders, early headlights, early clock, early steering column stalks, the list goes on. They were just using parts up. It's all part of life's rich tapestry, I've found it's just best to go with the flow.

I was lucky, my van has had a replacement panel put on it with the 3 lugs for late lights, so I swapped them over - mainly because I wanted headlights, and not candles in jam jars. Modern H4 bulbs.

I've got a locking petrol cap, and the flap closes fine. Got mine from GSF.
They got me two and me flap didnt shut with either see what i mean lol

ouch! pleased i've found out now. it probably explains why i've had probs with some things. and why mechanic swears at me every time i drive up
AnyWAY dont get a locking one ;D, you might loose the key, OR forget to give it to the MOT man who uses your van in his lunch hour and runs out of petrol then breaks it off so he can get some fuel in so he can get back to work : like mine did,and said its ok you can get another one at GSF

am going to have to try and get one, i can barely afford my own fuel bill, let alone subbing the notts yoofs!

Fill ya tank up with apple juice that a teach em. Good luck i cant swear but i think i ended up with a peugot 307 one in the end but my friendly car parts man /shop got a box of umm in the end and came out to me van and found me one that fitted, thats service for ya ay

that's an amazing service! i'll pop bus over to gsf and try before i buy

Early on the left and and late on the right I think or was it the other way round.

Early mirrors, late mirrors, Brazilian mirrors. They all use the same fixings. The only difference is that the Brazilian mirrors are those horrible big plastic things. But if you like that sort of thing, then they will also fit any other bus.

Early mirrors, late mirrors, Brazilian mirrors. They all use the same fixings. The only difference is that the Brazilian mirrors are those horrible big plastic things. But if you like that sort of thing, then they will also fit any other bus.
