  1. more and more as i'm replacing worn bits on my bus i'm finding out that he's a late bay imposter!
today i found out that i need early head lights as he only has one lug.
he's a 73 with high indictators and square bumpers but there does seem to have been some early bits that he left the factory with.
    is this normal?
does he have an identity crisis?

  14. The joys of a '73. Locks in slider handles, petrol flaps, early tanks and senders, early headlights, early clock, early steering column stalks, the list goes on. They were just using parts up. It's all part of life's rich tapestry, I've found it's just best to go with the flow.

I was lucky, my van has had a replacement panel put on it with the 3 lugs for late lights, so I swapped them over - mainly because I wanted headlights, and not candles in jam jars. Modern H4 bulbs.

I've got a locking petrol cap, and the flap closes fine. Got mine from GSF.
