Some urgent parts were posted from the US and, according to the tracking service, cleared Customs in the UK on Friday 11 May, I'd guess at Heathrow. But that's where the tracking service ends. Once it's cleared Customs I guess it becomes Royal Mail's responsibility, or whoever. So, does anyone know how long it takes before I should expect to receive it? I was kind of hoping it would have been here by now (Tuesday 15 May).
Depending on who they were sent with will dictate who takes them this side - took about a week to get my stuff once it reached customs this side. And I had to pay some tax .
Dunno if this is the same but we bought some equipment from a company called MTS Systems - the shipment arrived in the UK from USA on 4th May and arrived in Derbyshire on 8th May. Thats with a big organisation though - I guess it depends on the usual rules and regs!!
I've ordered quite a few engine parts from the states, and they're usually delivered within 2 weeks... normally clearing customs takes longer than the parts coming over...
